The U.S. Census Bureau and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development jointly announced the following new residential sales statistics for December 2025. Sales of new single-family houses in December 2025 were at a seasonally-adjusted annual rate of 745,000, according to estimates released jointly today by the U.S. Census Bureau and the Department of Housing and Urban Development. This is 1.7 percent (±14.5 percent)* below the November 2025 rate of 758,000, and is 3.8 percent (±18.3 percent)* above the December 2024 rate of 718,000.
