This morning, the Financial Times reported a potential early exit for Christine Lagarde from her position as President of the European Central Bank. The rationale here is that a swifter departure would allow French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz to appoint a new president ahead of the French presidential elections.
