US consumer confidence increases in December
The Consumer Sentiment Index in the United States improved by 3.7% in December compared to the previous month, and reached 52.9, a final report posted by the University of Michigan revealed on Friday. However, the figure came lower than the preliminary report and declined by 28.5% on an annual level. The Current Economic Conditions Index decreased by 1.4% monthly to 50.4 in December, representing a 32.9% year-over-year decline.
