El Salvador adds over 1K bitcoin to reserves during price slump
El Salvador, an early adopter of bitcoin, which is trading at its lowest level in months, acquired about 1,098 tokens, worth roughly $100M, in the past seven days, according to recent Bitcoin Office data. That brings the Central American nation's total bitcoin treasury stash to ~7,474 coins, worth nearly $690M, according to a screenshot of the government's BTC balance history posted by President Nayib Bukele on X.
