Bitcoin and Ethereum, the world's two most valuable cryptocurrencies, both turned their early investors into millionaires and even billionaires. A $1,000 investment in Bitcoin's first publicly recorded trade in 2010 would be worth about $40 billion today. That same investment in Ethereum's first trade in 2015 would be worth nearly $6 million.
