A Calgary-based finance company has raised $10 million to create a digital version of the Canadian dollar, with backing from Shopify, Wealthsimple and National Bank — pushing Canada into the global race to digitize money. Tetra Digital, a financial services group, is planning to launch a Canadian stablecoin next year.
