Ex-Celsius CEO Mashinsky Begins 15-Year Sentence in New York

Alex Mashinsky, co-founder and former chief executive of collapsed crypto lender Celsius Network, is due to surrender to federal authorities on Friday to begin serving a 15-year prison sentence for fraud. Court documents from the Southern District of New York require Mashinsky to report to the Federal Prison Camp in Otisville by 2 p.m. ET. The minimum-security facility, 75 miles north of New York City, is known for housing white-collar offenders, including former New York Senate leader Dean Skelos and Donald Trump’s ex-lawyer Michael Cohen.
