Google’s new blockchain ledger is set to compete with XRPL
One of the world's largest tech companies may soon be able to compete directly with XRP, the third most valuable digital asset globally. Alphabet (GOOGL) has announced its Google Cloud Universal Ledger (GCUL), a blockchain platform that will be available to businesses in 2026. It features similarities to Ripple's XRP Ledger (XRPL). Similar to XRPL, GCUL is intended to be a distributed ledger for fintech institutions.
