The monthly CPI indicator rose 2.1% in the 12 months to May. • The largest contributors to the annual movement were Food and non-alcoholic beverages (+2.9%), Housing (+2.0%), and Alcohol and tobacco (+5.9%). {table} The monthly CPI indicator rose 2.1% in the 12 months to May, following a 2.4% rise in the 12 months to April. The monthly CPI indicator excluding volatile items and holiday travel rose 2.7% in the 12 months to May following a 2.8% rise in the 12 months to April.
