It isn’t quite that simple since there is some inherent aggression within human existence. But from a simplified perspective (from a monetary view), one could make such a statement as we did in our headline. Think of it this way. All governments in power so far have financed their wars through gold. If they devalued their gold holdings by fiat currencies, they backed up their money supply with your savings.
