The state of Michigan has introduced a new bill that extends the legislation surrounding illegal activities to include crypto. Representatives voted almost unanimously for the bill, which would close a loophole regarding money in criminal enterprises. House bill 4102 was first drawn up back in January, and was inspired by a case involving an illegal dogfighting ring. Participants who had wagered money in the form of cryptocurrency were not prosecutable by law.
