Mastercard claims to have developed a new way of anonymizing transactions conducted over a blockchain. According to a patent application published Thursday by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, the payments giant has proposed a system of conducting transactions which would obfuscate both the point of origin and the amount being transacted, allowing users to keep their transactions private.
