Three U.S. government agencies warned Monday that information tech (IT) workers from the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (the DPRK, or North Korea) were trying to secure jobs while posing as non North Korean nationals, often US.-based and/or non North Korean teleworkers. • There are reputational as well as legal risks involved in hiring DPRK workers, according to the Department of State, the U.S. Department of Treasury and the FBI.
