A cryptocurrency trading company called Coinseed in New York was completely shut down after being investigated by the state prosecutor’s office on suspicion of fraudulent investment activity. A multi-year investigation by Attorney General Letitia James finally led to a proceeding filed in February, and James’ office said through the app that Coinseed was not registered as a broker-dealer in New York. He accused him of trading cryptocurrencies.
