To me this question is the equivalent of asking, "how long is a piece of string?" RyuRyu may have a specific formula for what he personally uses in his volume based trading, but if we're being pedantic then by the use of the word 'effective', we have moved away from the realm of pure maths and science and into the world of ART and SKILL instead. 'Effective', by definition, means 'that which works' and that which works will differ from person to person. I'm willing to concede that there may be a supreme method of calculating leverage usage, but I've...

I mean that many people don't realise that if they have 10x leverage it can suddenly become 50x and 100x and so on. Because the loss also multiply it.

People ask me why I'm trading crypto and not trading forex.
Min lot size for APE is 0.4$, where min lot size for EURUSD is 100$

Now let's check the distance

How and what you want to earn here?

0.4$ vs 100$
0.12% distance vs 0.65%

It is not possible to trade on forex with less than 100 000$ in the pocket. Math is math.

Sadly, some of us forex traders think we're just too old to change to crypto and my trading system would need to be moved over to the new platform. It seems like a lot to figure out and there doesn't seem to be an easy step by step on how to set it all up, but I really should take a closer look and maybe switch over. My biggest issue is all the accounts where the crypto disappeared. Gone! I really don't get it.

The key of crypto is that you can deposit-withdraw your money fast. There are no "wait 3 business days" like on forex. It is like few seconds or few minutes to move your assets away. So literally if you trade manually for example on the 1H tf you can easy store your assets on your cold wallet for 99% time (when you wait for entry). And only if you want to get in then deposit the sum you want.
Also if you are trading on spot then 99.99999% of the time your assets are your assets. Because long on spot works even if you are not using your exchange (if you have crypto) and short works always by default too. No exchange needed for that.

Second thing is... tell me please how many forex brokers were scammed and gone with client's money? A LOT. How many crypto exchanges were closed? Three.

I'm not saying that crypto is blah-blah-blah, I don't believe in it. I just say that if you want to speculate on the market then you have to calculate everything first and choose correct asset/exchange. For example about a year ago there were rebates for limit orders to trade futures on one exchange. Rebates! Imagine the opportunity! Of course I moved to it, made bots and so on.

Of course only smartest and fastest win. This is like it always was. It is not a problem to deposit 5$ and try. But when guy is trading 0.5 lot size with 2000$ account - and call himself a trader at the same time - that it's a shame.

stay green!

Then it is good, my friend. But me from Spain have to wait 2-3 business days. Anyway this is not a big deal. Big deal is that it make no sense to fast depo/wd on forex. Because "why" and "waht for"? In crypto it make sense to save your assets, to move between exchanges to make "average" and so on.

But you forgot to turn the light on the "leverage issue", "distance issue" and "min lot size issue". So you can fast wd your money and fast deposit too. What about another math?

And I expected the kind of question from you that elicited this answer. Or to put it in language that you are familiar with:

Leeches everywhere.

Sorry I didn't get what you asking me about? Store your keys in the safe place. Or use hard wallet like Ledger Nano.

Anyway I never said that anyone must go and trade crypto. I just said why I'm trading crypto: because min lot size is 0.5$ not 100$, because distnace is 0.5%, not 0.05%, because there are no "if you deposited 100$ you can wd 100$" and "wait 3 business days" and "wd only on bank account you have deposited from" and because there are no weekends and because there are no sessions and because there are free volume data.

Hey Betchad, how are you finding the system that Ryuryu sent you for winning his competition? Is it as profitable as he made it out to be? You're being very quiet and the public want to know!

He hasn't actually shared it with me, so I cannot tell you one way or another.
