Some people are serious about their recovery seeds and keep them on fireproof indestructible steel plates. https://shop.trezor.io/product/cryptosteel

So if you lose your hardware wallet or it busts or whatever you can easily buy a new one and recover your wallets with the seed keys right? This is how I thought it works but I have never had to do it before.

Does anyone have suggestions for cold storage for BSV? It seems I can't create a wallet to store this crypto on Nano S.

Did you mean Bitcoin Sh!t vision by Faketoshi???

I'd donate it to charity before it drops under $5.

Yes i mean donate. If you exchange it it'll expose your real bitcoin holdings (i assume you never bought this cr.p and you got it in fork???).
I don't want the hassle for few dollars to give information on my real BTC size to crazy exchanges (now or in future).

So beware.

A paper wallet may be your best bet.

Only ~seven people on the planet Earth use BSV so I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for Ledger support.

Why would you want to keep BSV in cold storage? Just roll it into BTC.

I just came across a few hardware wallets that I've never heard of before:

  1. SafePal S1, $40
  2. CoolWallet S, $100
  3. SecuX W20, $130
  4. ELLIPAL Titan, $170
  5. Cobo Vault, $479

Anybody got any more?

Seven people?
The BSV coin?

Naaaaa

I think you're mistaken pal.

It's 6 people.

Onr was buying beer Budwizer (5 big cases) and he said something like BusVisir so they gave him about 200 BSV coins.

Hollup... you can write your own seed? I assumed that wasn't possible because the seed word phrase was a hash of your private key... you can't just pick it like you would a password, right?

The seed phrase is used to generate the private key, not the other way around.

You can't use any word you want in the seed phrase. So "mofo" and "bitches" are out of the question, sadly. The words have to be defined in the wallet software.

My $5 KeepKey just arrived today. I've only had a chance to unbox it so far.
