Never short a dull tape....SPX stuck in a 20pt range for 2 days. But, no trade Friday, but PCE out that day, and quarter end effectively, Thursday. Could see a big gap after the long weekend? image

Powell has not been a politician for most of his career. He was in investment banking for most of it, lastly as a partner at The Carlyle Group (private equity, $400+ bio AUM.) He does not need his govt salary.

tough trading ICs in a meltup. I'll likely be on the lookout for any dips and sell put verts into them, if they ever come...leave off the calls and maybe use put proceeds for trend following trades. A dip tbh is any2 red days consecutive. 3 would be ...

I'll hold what I have for comparison, but I wouldn't have taken a short position in this market. Indicators can scream "overbought" for weeks/months....

I had a glimmer of hope Monday that I might get decent profit from the current IC, maybe take it to MaxP on Friday, but with today's rally on nothing, that has faded. My best guess is a dovish Fed will keep the meltup going. I will probably close ...

the 85/82.5 is 4x more expensive than the 80/77.5, so a 20-lot vs a 82 lot. The cheaper, larger trade outperforms, reaching $2k profit at about $83.10, compared to $80.20 for the 20-lot. The old adage in trading, "buy low, sell high" is amplified in ...

Yep, that's the best I can do. Names with big b/a spreads are inefficient for spreading. The trade would start making money pretty quick, though, given the low debit. We'll see what happens.
