    The Bank of Canada cut interest rates again last week. Given the similarities between Canada and the US in terms of past rate hikes and the current economic picture, could this be a sign of what’s to come in the US? I also share my view of what to expect from the Bank of Japan and Bank of England as they meet this week. Will the Federal Reserve follow in the Bank of Canada’s footsteps? Last week, the Bank of Canada (BOC) decided to enact another rate cut after its initial cut in early June. No. Fed cannot cut rates, because everything would explode higher making inflation a runaway train. The Fed will keep the rates steady for as long as they can to prop up the USD. Probably up until US elections and perhaps even beyond that.

This obsession with the Fed and the rate cut and optimism about the potential rate cut is what is going to cost many today who are hoping for anything from the Fed and Powell. No rate cuts any time soon nor even a hint about a potential one.

I agree on that. If they decide to lower the rates this bubble is going to explode. Working class is already suffering from inflation... If rates go down working class = poor.
