For the past couple of days, Prague has been a centre of the whole Bitcoin world. With more than 10,000 people attending, 160+ speakers and dozens of companies in booths and stalls, Matyas and Martin Kuchar, the organizers of the conference, can pride themselves with making something historic. And the event was made even more special thanks to several important announcements that cannot go unnoticed. What were the biggest revelations that you should know about?
Satoshi Labs – Vexl Foundation
SatoshiLabs, the company behind notoriously known and used hardware wallet Trezor, has announced the official release of Vexl app and the establishment of Vexl Foundation. The goal of the foundation is to restore the financial power of individuals and promote financial freedoms. And Vexl app aims to be one of its tools in achieving these goals.
Vexl is a mobile app which provides secure and private peer-to-peer Bitcoin marketplace all without the need of KYC (Know-Your-Customer). As was stated during several panels and keynotes by the CEO of Vexl, Lea Petrášová, Vexl should help make Bitcoin “a purely peer-to-peer version of electronic cash” as described by Satoshi Nakamoto in the first sentence of the Bitcoin whitepaper.

Moreover, Vexl Foundation has also introduced the Financial Tyranny Index (FTI), which combines several different metrics together to measure the extent of statist interventions into the financial lives of individuals. Surprisingly, countries such as France, Canada or Belgium score really high on the Financial Tyranny Index, signifying rather aggressive approach to the financial rights of their citizens.
AmityAge – Bitcoin Educators Academy
Dusan Matuska, Bitcoin educator from Slovakia and one of the founders of AmityAge, has announced on the main stage of BTCPrague a creation of a new Bitcoin Educators Academy in Roatan, Honduras.

In October of this year, AmityAge will host a 10-days long pilot academy for aspiring Bitcoin educators. 21 passionate Bitcoiners from all over the world will have a chance to get the best Bitcoin-related knowledge and information from some of the top educators and Bitcoin entrepreneurs.
Amongst other things, the program will also include education on public speaking, content creation, community building and much more. The goal off the academy will be to produce Bitcoin educators that would be able to spread around the world and help with Bitcoin adoption and education.
Fedi – First pop-up Federation
Combination of Fedi and BTCPrague also led to a launch of the first ever Pop-up Federation. Fedi announced that, during the conference, the participants were able to join the Prague Pop-up Federation, which gave the chance for invitees to try some new features. These included the ability to use sats, broadcast messages on chat or access sites with information about the conference.
The purpose of this trial was to test several functionalities live within the community. According to Obi Nwosu, CEO of Co-founder of Fedi, they are doing their best to make sure to listen to the needs of the people.

Aleks Svetski – Spirit of Satoshi
Aleks Svetski, a renowned Bitcoin educator and author, announced the first Bitcoin-centric language model under the name of Spirit of Satoshi. Described by Svetski, Spirit of Satoshi “is an open and crowd-source repository of all that is Bitcoin.”
Spirit of Satoshi should serve as an alternative to the mainstream generalized large language models. It should also serve for preserving all the Bitcoin related knowledge and intelligence as well as making it available and accessible to everyone.

As of now, that is all that is known in connection to Spirit of Satoshi, however, there are more announcements about to be dropped in the near future according to Svetski, so be sure to follow that development. Conclusion
These were for sure the biggest announcements of the BTCPrague conference. Most of them are connected to Bitcoin adoption and its future and how people can start working on it right now. While none of them was as magnificent as the Jack Mallers’ announcement of El Salvador adopting Bitcoin from two years ago, all of them will be for sure just as important in the long-term goal of making Bitcoin globally used and adopted money, either in form of store of value, unit of account or medium of exchange.
