One lucky Australian has scooped tonight’s entire $60 million Powerball jackpot.

But sadly for West Australians, the division one winner is from Sydney, according to draw officials.

The winning numbers were 4, 11, 19, 28, 3, 5, 7, while the all-important Powerball number was 6.

One West Australian was among the 26 division two winners who each picked up almost $36,000.

The sole winner has been identified as a woman aged in her 20s who thought a prank was being played when she answered the phone call revealing her win.

On top of winning division one, the woman’s PowerHit entry also won division two 19 times, meaning her total prize increased to $60,683,656.95.

PowerHit allows players to use their same seven numbers multiple times with a different Powerball number to maximise their chances of winning.

Division two requires a player to select the correct seven numbers without the Powerball.

The monster jackpot prize came after four weeks with no winners and was the second biggest jackpot offered by an Australian lottery so far this year.

Up to a quarter of Australian adults was expected to have entered the draw.
