We are not surprised why it went down from here. The 1.6500 is strong as well. I didn't think price was done with that 1.6500 just yet. But I saw no obvious PA so no trade was taken by me.

I'm sure Rac would have liked it.

There is no way out without patience and discipline in this business.

I started this touch trading thing with a mindset that it would require less patience and discipline than the classic setups.

But actually it's other way around.

i can go as far as saying the market has (almost literally) put me on my knees:
i cant do it 'my way'; i have to do it the market's way (respect the market, understand, feel & move with the market)

i think these two traits are part of the holy grail of everything in life.

a possible motto out of this is
"only the (most) patient & disciplined shall survive"

That's my problem too.

I am very patient and tolerant person in real life issues.

But when it comes to trading and shopping it's other way around. I buy/sell things when i think i need to without bargaining or waiting for a better deal. Most of the times i am left with high priced stuff and etc. I take trades that i know don't have a good chance to hit even the first trouble area but i take them because i need too/ can't stop myself from doing it.

If you look at my post history more then 70%-80% of the setups i post do work out. But they ain't the only ones that i take, there are the bad ones too i know won't work out and i don't post them but i take them myself and this is whats killing me. I know they will hurt and i take them, I know they will hurt and i take them, I know they will hurt and i take them.

What saves me from complete disaster and keeping me around BE is some strong charting skills that i have learned from great people here in this thread but again lack of patience and discipline is keeping me away from the big money i should be making easily.

I've read "Trading in the Zone/The Secrets Of Emotion Free Trading" but it did't help either.

But giving up is not an option,...never.

No i did made big money on demo in last 6 months and market was trending hard and I think I squeezed every pip out of it.lol But as I started my live account last week market started ranging. But I am glad I started with a small microlot accout to test my psychology. So I think BE is not bad for these kind of markets in first two weeks.

Just shrug your shoulders and be grateful you aren't suffering like some real poor people in this world. If you win, great. If you lose, great. How dare any of us expect to win anyway? We dont have a God given right to win at trading or in life in general. Tough. We think the market owes us some money??!...
I dint get your point here. You say don't expect to win from an A+ setup cause we have no right to win?
Or are you saying that don't get bother about the outcome,.. then yea I agree.
Dreams, Motivation and Goals is the stuff that keeps me coming back. When I fail I think about my Dreams and get up. when I win I think about my next Goals and keep on learning more and improving. All I have in my life is my dreams and my goals and they keep me motivated all the time, nothing else.
I don't think about money but success,........ and money follows the success. and success comes with hardwork, motivation, devotion to your goals and I believe in honestly also. You have to be honest with people around you and yourself it helps me a lot. I felt very bad when I came to know yesterday that people were thinking me as someone who hit big time after I admitted that I was breaking even. I can't live with the fact that people are think me of somthing that I am really not.
But now everyone knows how actually I am doing and I know that too, much clearly now. So I have to move on now with a positive mindset and with a good feeling of being honest with myself and others.
I know that am very close now,.... I just know that.

Hehee.

But this PPZ @ 330 has spoiled the hard break. I think there will be a bounce of some 20-30 pips @ 280 (if price can touch it) if not a complete reversal cause its a nice head & shoulder too.

On the other hand Ej is has gone good. There was this PB (proxy i think) and when i saw price going up against it i checked weekly and monthly and found the show stopper PPZ .lol

Thanks!
No it was manual i don't use limit orders most of the times cause of horrible spreads.

Trade was entered after the PB was formed (on the next bar).

Closed both positions. Waiting EU to hit 270 for a long.

I have reversed EJ. Looking at big bull bar of Friday i think it's enough for a retrace and also 125 is a very strong level.

Half closed stop moved to BRN @ 125.

I hope this 4H could close above 126.40 and make a BUOB.

Well if it had formed @1.5500 (near swing point) then it would've been very interesting with chances to hit 435-430.

IMHO

Lets see what Ghous have to say.

Well in the first place you don't have to think too much cause both OB's were not confirmed so they are not valid trades.

But i think GAP on GC spoiled the party pretty much.

The Advantage of BRN @ 1.65 was turned against the BEOB cause of this GAP.

Just my opinion

i hope a senior will make pretty much clearer to you.

I would say know your market and trade how it should be.

I mean i made some 200+ pips on EJ and GU yesterday and 100+ pips today on GC, GU and GJ shorts today.

I took all these trades in tight range's so i treated them the way they should've been i.e no partial profits or moving the stops (mainly today). OUT AT FTA.

But when markets will break these ranges i'll be in the trend trading mode again as i was a month ago.

First trouble area is 86.50 and a smaller pin like that IMO you must do something at that point if at the least move your stop above the high of the current bar(this is what I talked about yest in my webinar). If you catch the runner you catch it, but like James says we don't just hope anymore with these types of bars.

Nice pips for those who took it congrats

Mike
I took it and then I talked myself out of it at -2 pips.
Ohhh well.

I was very hesitant on this one, BUT, I4B's that straddle very big round numbers fail very very very very rarely. Easily the best PA setup in J16.

counter trend risk 1%. And with just one trade, I almost have my weekly average goal of a 1% gain.

first target, move to B/E, second target T/P.
If I had to name the best new trader (considering last 12 months) in terms of discipline i I would name Dan Gilbert.

Yep i do pay attention to them but no fancy words, just consolidations and breakouts.
