I was busy with Yen and missed it altogether.
You had a plane and you sticked to it.
But i don't see any good reason (except that PPZ reaction) to close the whole position. You could've closed half your position and leave rest at BE.
Look how nicely that 4H PB worked out while retesting those TL's. (Hey Mike any comments on this PB).
Anyways i hope i am not messing around with peoples trade planes but just trying to point that you should give your trades a chance to let them run. It actually helps me from over trading.
P.S: Maybe i am getting to much into this holding the trades thing.

Sure, you might reread a lengthy Jaroo post five times. And restudy one of Jims charts a bunch of time. And spend ten minutes laughing at the photo of the giant pig. But you will cruise through 90% of the material here as fast as your eyes can move.
Newbies, dont despair

hmmm I am a bit slow then, I think 2 minutes per page. (FF default settings)

No this 4H one i was goin to post it but my internet got bad. I know that it's not the best one to take a new trade but is't it as a decent indication to hold the one we are already in.
Thanks.

Well i never stressed myself in my life to read something that i can't enjoy or if i am reading something educative i will read until i could absorb the knowledge.
i have just read first 50 pages of this thread and thread summaries.
After that i told myself "Ok that's enough reading now lets do this stuff".
Hope fully i will start to read the thread again from where i left.
It's not directed to any individual but just my word of advise to anybody who thinks that all he/she need to do is to read 4000 pages of this thread (ASAP and he/she will start to make money automatically.
I will respectfully disagree.
I think first 100-200 pages are enough to get the idea of the basics and then the summaries will do good job in picking up a style of a senior. Obviously there is nothing wrong in reading the whole thread if you'r enjoin and learning without stress.
Good Luck.

Ok currently i am just stopped out on all of my runners.
Now next target is UC. See how this daily closes.
See the trick is to find the first winning trade then it gets pretty much easier to keep on adding in it.

In my book Ej's not a tradable IPB in terms of bar shape and also because of the poor location it is sitting on.

Of course not tradeable(is that a word?) now.

If so, could such bars be played as well as bullish PAs u think? Maybe also with entry at close and SL at the end of the long wick in this example?
P/s: Gentlemen of J16 thread, I know this is a bit off-topic but please bear with me.........

Ghous will answer you better when he'll come back.
IMO,
The one on the left is a classic IPB how he likes them.
But the Bar on the right is not tradable in any sense.

I find it to be of the same psychology rationale as the IPB on the left chart.
Doesn't this sort of thinking make it a tradable bar?
Just curious of how others see it...................
CY

But you can't use Ghous's exact words for both of these bars. Cause one one the left IPB and other one is looking like a PB (i tried to avoid calling it a PB in my 1st post) .
I would take it if it looks like this with a longer wick(see chart).

Ghous i was searching your IPB posts but i can't see you stating the exact size you need for an IPB comparing to it's previous bar. or is it discretionary (feeling)???
Looking at OIL daily, The size is pretty small but still the upper wick also is pretty long. There are also side to side IPB's in 4h.
P.S: How do you trade Daily bars. I mean the daily bar close very late here in our country. Do u stay awake for it?

Almost Always.
First entry on EU is retracment of the BUOB at PPZ. EJ is Retracment of PB back to TL.

I can do an excel sheet for you. You just need to insert size of you equity and amount of pips you're risking everytime and it will tell you how many lots you can trade.

I must say Markets nowadays are so much smooth. It's ranging 30% of the times and trending 70% of the times.
No wonder you see how many of those trend trading type and many other threads are popping up. No disrespect but it will be interesting to see how many of those stay above the water when markets will be back to ranging conditions nearly in holiday season (maybe).

I entered late at 0075. cause of that PPZ at .0069. So in that sense i was sure that i had crossed that PPZ so the target for taking half off was .0128.
But when i saw it shooting back at me and EU reversing on the other hand i got out.

Be careful with that ZigZag. It could get you scratching your head next morning.
Where's that ZigZag and why are those PPZ are there????. lol
I remember when i used to be searching for holy grail by coding formulas in Meta Stock. I coded that ZigZag indi into system tester (EA) and it gave zero losses + zero draw downs results. I thought i got my holy grail.

Fully agree, PA and S/R work always in any condition and 5 years of this thread is a BIG PROOF to that.
Although i did pretty well in rang of EU in Feb04-Mar17 but i am waiting for the tough ranging markets to test my skills.

Abt the size of IPBs, I like'em long and big just like you'd like a pin bar. However I don't look for the longer wick to exceed the previous bar but then the IPB itself needs to be considerably large compared to the bars prior to it.
As a classic example look at the daily gold bar and compare it with the aud/chf weekly IPB I...

What you must not forget is that IPBs are basically pin bar setups. So for a bar to qualify as an IPB it must first qualify as a tradeable (Nasir's rights reserved) pin bar by virtue of it's shape.
Both the bars you highlighted are mere indecision bars frequently refereed to as Dojis...you want one wick to extend far more than the other to give it that "pin barish" look.
To answer your question I...

I think i got it.
Just turn your IPB to 180 degrees and if qualifies as a PB you can take it.Right?
Conventional type huh.
I think conventional type are ones like me who sleep late and woke up late.

It's kind of struck. I won't play the PB but maybe a break of 92.80 and 92.30 as target..
EJ looks good though.

Thanks for the boosting comments Mike, as always . ..

It's really simple Mike.
1-Just find an entry with PA (or a Touch).
2-Mark the PPZ's in your way.
3- Wait for Peaks-Valleys or you can say consolidations and add in after the breakout.
4- No trade between a Peak-Valley. (Except your doing something else)

Thanks Cory.
I was waiting for someone to say this. I think it should be reminded once a month.
