china approaching these negotiations as if they were war peace talks

only warring countries go to a neutral 3rd site to negotiate a peace deal

china wont give ground unless trump does first cause they hate whities for what we did during the opium wars and the boxer rebellion plus bunch of other humiliating stuff

Under the deal ,reciprocal tariffs for both countries would be reduced by 115%. The US will temporarily lower its tariffs on Chinese goods from 145% to 30% and China will reduce its levies on American products from 125% to 10%
Both the US and China agreed. Who's the Boss?

Chinese are really hard to deal with. I tried to import tea bags from them with a re-brand purpose and after a month of back n forth talks, I was back in square one. I gave up and scrapped the adventure.

China repeatedly reached out Jan-Mar just to have the door slammed in their face, then getting struck with "reciprocal" tariffs, then getting goaded into walking into a "trade deal" trap. "Trade consultation mechanism" is just walking back 5 months to start from where these things should have began in the first place. So, that means the base case is no additional tariffs.
